: Well, actually, there's no funny story behind it. That's how long it took anyone to get anywhere in New Orleans on the bus! Because everyone used public transit, the buses had to make frequent stops. If you had to be at work for, say, 4:00 PM, then you'd better leave your house at 2:00 PM to get there on time! Frustrating, isn't it? Imagine having to get your kids to school in the morning, or worse yet, to a doctor's appointment! Now you see why I am so happy to have my own car now! It's refreshing to see that other people notice how ridiculous that is. But unfortunately, thousands of us lived that way for a LONG TIME. That was just the way it was, and there was nothing anyone could do about it!

I'm so glad you have a car now. I've ridden the transit a few times, but I wouldn't dare ride one now. Being in a confined area with a bunch of people would send me into an axiety attack and I'd probably freak everyone out and get kicked off the bus. LOL And oh God, don't get me started on elevators. hee hee

Yay for you and your car :)!!! Any news on the dispatching job? I'm praying for you. Good things will come your way, I know it. I am a firm believer in "everything happens for a reason". Sometimes it's hard to see when you are going through a hard time what exactly good can come from the situation, but when you look back later you know. It's time for happiness and good things to find their way to you my friend, you've had too much of the rough stuff. It's time for a new chapter and it's going to be awesome!
