P.S. For all who asked, yes, we did go to New Orleans, and recovery is slow, but progressive. Click on the New Orleans news sites listed in the My Favorites section of my blog if you are interested in staying abreast of the conditions down there.

Hi Mrs Ford! My cousin has been in MS helping with the cleanup and rebuilding ever since right after the hurricane hit. I don't know if they got it as bad as you guys did, but when he comes home for a visit he always has some horrible stories to tell.

From what I hear its still taking a long time to clean up the area and to get people permanently rehoused.
Its worrying knowing that the hurricane season is on its way again!
