MMMM-HMMM(ROLLING EYES)...LAUNDRY DAY...SHOUT OUT!

I arrived EARLY to my final interview.  I was dressed in my interview suit; I had my  credit report in hand; I was prepared to answer ANYTHING.

 Exec

Ten minutes before interview time (I had made it to Conroe 30 minutes ahead of schedule, but waited in the parking lot until 1:20 P.M.), I walked into the building and let the secretary know that I was there.

The interview board decided to have me wait in the lobby for 40 MINUTES.

  Rolling Eyes

Apparently, there was another person scheduled to interview that day, and they were running behind.  However, when the communications supervisor finally came to get me, I noticed that SHE DIDN'T BRING ANOTHER PERSON OUT WITH HER.

Whatever

The final interview was similar to the other interviews I went on earlier this month.  I did well, I guess, because I answered every question they asked me accurately, correctly, and effectively.  And honestly.  Guess what, folks....I DIDN'T EVEN HAVE TO EXPLAIN MY CREDIT REPORT.

Phew

Since I worked so hard to prepare it, though, I did fill them in on the details, and what I am doing to straighten that mess out.

Those people are PLAYING with me.  They told me that it will be about two to three weeks before I hear whether I have been hired or not.  At this point, folks, I'm not concerned anymore.  I have gone through SO MUCH to get this job.  I have gone through a lot to get ANY job, for that matter!  This is the fifth interview I have been on this month.  Three for the airport; one for an Animal Control/Public Works dispatcher position (which is RIGHT AROUND THE CORNER from where I live; I'd like to have that one!), and this final interview with Conroe.  All the other job sites told me the same thing; that it will be at least two to three weeks before I hear if I have been hired.  I still have until August to return to Wal-Mart, so I am not worried about whether I will be working or not.  If none of these people hire me, I'll be at Wal-Mart, that's all.  The only reason why I will be working anyway is to fix my credit so that my husband and I will be able to purchase a home here.  But as far as my immediate needs, all of them are met; I am not suffering, thank the Lord.  I am just waiting for His answer to this situation.

Besides, I have to chaperone for two school field trips, and I am planning a birthday party for my daughter, Nicolette, who will be 11 on  May 6th.

Birthday Song    Birthday Gifts   Birthday Wishes   Birthday Surprise Party

I already have permission to host the party at the after-school program, and I am facing the challenge of entertaining 30+ kids who will be high on sugar for 2 HOURS!!!  YIKES!!!!  Any party game ideas out there, folks?!?  Help me out, please!!!!  If I were working right now, I wouldn't be able to do these things.  I know that God knows best.  He is probably waiting until the summer, when the girls are out of school, before allowing me to start working again.

Today is LAUNDRY DAY........UUUUUGGGGGGHHHHH!!!!

Launderer

I would like to send a special shout-out to Lakisha Green, A.K.A. "Dot Com Diva", for publishing her first book!  I am SO excited for her!  This young lady has 5 kids, she has a full-time job, she is married, and is pursuing her literary career, as well as preparing to continue her education!  This lady is an inspiration to me, because folks like her remind me that if you keep pressing, and never give up, your dreams CAN become a reality!  Her debut novel, "And Even If I Did" is available for view and purchase HERE!

 You Go Girl

Okay, this message is especially for the SISTAS out there....you know who you are....those of you who secretly lurk about, reading this journal.....show this lady some love!  Terry McMillian became a literary success because we showed out for her!  The same can be done today, and remember.....when it is YOUR TURN, you'll want others to show you love, too!

Well, that's all for today.  Matthew's talking about going to the gym.......and I have a huge pile of laundry to do.

Yeah Right

 WTH?!?  Bye' y'all!

I've no idea what 11 year old girls like i'm afraid, my brother turned 11 back in feb. all i can say, is that i'm pretty sure they can talk you to death because i know my brother can. and he's right at that age where he starts talking back to me, i make sure i let him know i dont appreciate and won't tolerate it.
But good luck planning the fun and games, enjoy the sugar high! lol!

I can't believe they kept you waiting so long, i always think its a little rude when they keeping you waiting too long. because you made the effort to get there on time. but i'm glad you just let it go and got on with having a fab interview. i really hope that you get some news soon. There isn't anything like the security of owning your own home and having something to pass on to your children.

I'm gonna go buy and visit the site of your friend who's publishing her book. I'd be a dream come true for me to see my work published. I'd love to be a journalist, but ultimately i desire to one day write a novel. But I know its difficult and right now i haven't the time to apply to it seriously. But one day I shall.

have a great weekend, don't just do laundry. relax and enjoy yourself too.
